So I had been looking for a dinnerware set that was my exact simplistic style, but also had deep/wide pasta bowls. This set is perfect. Plates with upturned edges, generous cereal bowls, and an even more generous pasta bowl, with clean white ceramic that match perfectly with other white ceramic dishes I have bought to supplement what’s not in this set, like side dish/dessert bowls. The dishes are sturdy, weighted, smooth, and they’re even more satisfying to see in person.
Upon receiving my package, the dishes were very well protected. Unfortunately, during my unboxing, I discovered a chipped dinner plate. I’m confident it did not occur in transit, as the dish would’ve been broken or other dishes, affected. Amazon wanted me to return the full set for a replacement and I didn’t want the burden of repacking these precariously packed dishes like Tetris back into its box all over one plate or risk a different issue with the new set. I also couldn’t just ignore a chipped plate in a brand new set. So, I contacted Gibson directly. The customer service there is absolutely amazing. After asking for various details and proof, the company sent me a replacement plate with absolutely no hassle! Now I don’t have to stress that I had three good dinner plates but four of everything else.
If you like the set, buy it! You won’t regret it. And if you have an issue with the order, I’m sure Gibson will assist you with no problem if you do not resolve through Amazon.

After 25. years of using wedding dishes we decided to start fresh. I chose these for their simplicity. I am able to dress them up or down with placemats, napkins etc. They stack really well in the cabinet and take up much less room than our previous dishes. The white makes them easy to use for any occasion . They also fit better in my dishwasher.

Great dishes! They are heavy and study. Love the design with the raised edge. The pasta bowls are a perfect size. Very pleased so far. They have been through the dishwasher a few times now and they clean up like a dream. Are there a few imperfection in the glaze – yes, but VERY minimal and hardly noticeable. I am not THAT picky, and for the price I feel these were a great choice.

Really beautiful set of dishes. They were packaged very well and arrived in perfect condition. So far they have lived through several meals and cycles through the dishwasher and they still look great. They do not scratch and wash very easily. The dinner bowls are a surprise favorite. They are reasonably sized and perfect for pasta, ramen, rice bowls, etc.. They look very high-end and restaurant quality.

I wouldn’t get too critical about this set given its price point. These are chic looking basics at a good deal. There are some minor imperfections in the finish on a couple of the plates but I ordered 2 sets of 4 place settings there wasn’t a single chipped item. Each set came in its own case and both cases were placed inside of a larger box and surrounded with bubble wrap. Said that, if you can’t handle a box that size/weight, I recommend placing two separate orders for these. I love the look of these plates and they cost twice as much just about everywhere else. The high gloss finish is more durable than a matte finish but if you wash by hand and have a metal drying rack, I recommend replacing it with one that is plastic or has a rubber coating. Because of the lip around the plates, they barely fit in a standard drying rack (and only at a certain angle) and I can see them becoming scratched by a metal rack. I read another review that said these were not lightweight but I think they are, especially compared to any kind of stoneware. Our existing plates were the same diameter as these and I purchased that set specifically because they were lighter weight than most other dishes I saw. And while this set may be the same overall diameter, the surface area is greater because of the lip design instead of a flare. We have 90’s builder grade kitchen cabinets that are smaller than stock cabinets now. All 8 dinner plates and all 8 dessert plates stacked and fit just fine. The bowls safely stack 3 high – 4 might be pushing it. I would definitely recommend for an adult household. Kids might chip the edges easily due to the design. Very pleased with this purchase.

This is my 3rd move and 3rd time buying these dishes, I love them that much! Worth it. Quality is great, shipping is always perfect, I love the white simplicity of them, they go with everything. All the sizes are excellent and versatile, I use the larger bowls for serving and eating, very useful! They stack very nicely on top of each other.

Très satisfait des des 20 ensembles qu’on a conservé. Belle qualité, design moderne, se lave très bien, pas de tasse que tout le monde à déjà en trop grand nombre. J’enlève quand même une étoile de durabilité parce qu’on a réussit à ébrécher l’une des assiettes : c’est quand même pas de la Corelle!

They say you get what you pay for. Bought 2 of these to replace my old dinnerware. Each plate and bowl has a dimple/bump in the middle of the dish. Some areas around the plate rims are rough so not properly vitrified. The description state that they are lightweight, they are not. They are closer to ceramic than fine porcelain. I might be biased as I am replacing bone china that I use every day which is quite lightweight and fine. I am returning both sets.
